3rd-8th March BOCA Rally - Based around Adelaide Australia
The Bristol Ownersʼ Club of Australia 2024 National Rally is being hosted by the BOCA SA Chapter with the theme of ‘Rolling Down The River’. If you are interested in joining with or without a Bristol please contact BOCA secretary Sue Cutler or see BOCA events contact page for more details.
14th March Wessex Brunch - Just outside Bradford on Avon, postcode BA15 1TS
Thursday morning Coffee and/or brunch meet 1030 – 1230hrs. Venue is the modern supercar storage site, Five Zeros Supercars (check their website). Meet up for a chat and a visit to see the cars (ours and theirs). Entry is free and coffee and/or brunch from the in-house restaurant. Any driver/passenger in a Bristol-engined car from any club will be welcome. No need to book – just turn up on the day. Plenty of parking available.
13th-14th April Goodwood members meeting - Near chichester
A great alternative to the Goodwood Revival meeting if you want something a little less crowded. Bristols to be seen on the Lavant bank parking.
19th April Heritage Trust Lecture - The Atwell, Wilson Motor Museum, Calne, Wiltshire.
The Bristol Ownersʼ Heritage Trust will be holding their next lecture day at the Atwell, Wilson Motor Museum, Calne, Wiltshire, SN11 0NF. > Oliver Nuthall from “INRacing: Historic Classic Racing Sports Car Specialists” will give lectures on their now famous new Bristol engines, which have sophisticated block and head work. > Michael Crawford (and colleague) unearths some mysteries among the V8 chassis records. > Stefan Cembrowicz and or Andrew Blow show Filton workplace photos from the 1950s. Admire the tweeds and marvel at the craftsmanship! The day runs from 11 am to 4 pm. Please contact john@hamshere.co to reserve a seat as seating is strictly limited to 40 places. Tickets will be a very modest £15 to include Museum entry and a lightish lunch. There may well be cake.
21st April BOC AGM & Drive It Day - Whittlebury Park, Whittlebury, Near Towcester Northamptonshire, NN12 8Q
The club AGM will be held at Whittlebury Park, Whittlebury, Near Towcester Northamptonshire, NN12 8Q at 11am on Sunday the 21st April. A copy of the agenda and the accounts for 2023 will be circulated to members prior to the meeting. Apologies for non attendance and items for the Agenda should be sent to Geoff Hawkins hon.sec@boc.net . Accommodation and dinner details for the night before the AGM will be circulated in due course. As well as the AGM, Sunday is also the FBHVCʼs Drive It Day and nearby (Silverstone) the VSCC are hosting a weekend of racing. 25th April (Thursday) Compton Abbas Brunch - Ashmore, Near Salisbury, Wiltshire SP5 5AP
Meet for coffee and/or brunch from 10:30am at Compton Abbas airfield in Dorset. Open to any driver/passenger from any club in a Bristol engined car. Free entry and plenty of parking.
27th April Bristol Breakfast - The Moat, Wrotham, Kent, TN15 7RT
Bristols will be the featured marque in April at this regular breakfast meeting of classics at the The Moat, Wrotham, Kent, TN15 7RT. The meet is from 9am to 11.30am, but if Bristols can be there a little early they will be given the prime parking spots. The pub will be open for coffee, soft drinks and bacon sandwiches which helps to sustain the events as well as the attendees. Club member Iain Johncock is herding the Bristols on this event. If there is sufficient interest he will arrange a drive out afterwards down to Beachy Head and a pub lunch. If you can make it to either let him know by emailing iainjohncock@gmail.com direct.
4th May Dedham Vale Vineyard - Green Lane, Boxted, Colchester, Essex CO4 5TS

12th May Bristols & Facels at Shuttleworth Collection - Alder Drive, Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, SG18 9EA (SatNav Use SG18 9DT)
This will be a joint meeting with the Facel Vega Car Club at the Shuttleworth Collection in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. Aircraft, cars, gardens – something for everyone! We are checking accommodation so please let Chris Dady - chrismdady@gmail.com know if you might want to stay locally on the Saturday night beforehand.
12th May Sunday Brunch - Plucky Pheasant, Dorking Rd, Albury, Guildford GU4 8SE
The Plucky Pheasant is a cafe at Newlands Corner nature reserve with ample parking and delightful views across the Surrey Hills. The date and time is Sunday 12th May from 11.00am. 15th and 16th June Bristol gathering - Aerospace Bristol, Hayes Way, Patchway BS34 5BZ
The Bristol Owners' Heritage Trust is sponsoring a display of Bristol and Bristol engined cars at Bristol Aerospace as part of Fathers' Day weekend events. Historic BMW cars area also welcome to join us. Arrival from 8:30 to 10:30am, cars can leave from 3 pm. No entry fees and complementary coffee will be provided on arrival. Meetup on Saturday from 11am for lunch and a chat at this popular venue just off the north circular.
11th August Layer Marney Cup - Layer Marney Tower, CO5 9US (Finish)
The 10th Anniversary of the reinstatement of the Layer Marney Cup which was first held on 6th June 1914. The event is a 'petrol trial' and the amount of fuel used over the route is recorded along with the car weight to calculate a 'Ton Miles per Gallon' Its a 70 mile run starting at 10:30am from the Royal Gunpowder Mills, Beaulieu Dr, Waltham Abbey EN9 1JY and going via Gibberd Garden, Marsh Lane, Harlow CM17 0NA for lunch and then to Layer Marney Tower for 4pm finish. 23rd-25th August Silverstone Festival - Silverstone Circuit, Towcester NN12 8TN
The Silverstone event continues to re-invent and expand non track attractions, from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th. Full GP track action with race cars of all eras competing over the three days and plenty to occupy those who don’t want to watch trackside. Includes this year a tribute to Ayrton Senna and plans for the largest gathering of cars raced by the triple world champion. The club pack entrance is for two people along with vehicle pass to bring and park your Bristol on the club stand so no long walks from public car parks. 1st Sept Shere Hill Climb - Staple Lane (junction with A246) Nr Guildford GU4 7RL
This is an extremely popular event with an opportunity to try the hill climb (non-competitively). Lots going on, with a grass autotest and live music during the day. Entries do not open until March but Peter Campbell has asked the organisers to reserve parking for Bristol cars. This is outside the Wessex Area but hope the SE region might allow this out-of-area raid! There will be a cost and it will be necessary for individuals to book through the organiser’s website to ensure an entry. 1st September BOC Bristol Day and Concours - Celtic Manor Hotel, Chepstow Road, Coldra Wood, Newport NP18 2YB
The big one. Event commences at 9am on the Sunday, judging commences at 11am and prove giving at 3pm. A complementary lunch will be served along with refreshments. 6th-8th Sept Goodwood Revival - Goodwood Motor Circuit near Chichester
Friday 6th to Sunday 8th September. A total emersion in all things pre 1966 motor racing. Bristols to be seen on the Lavant straight parking. Make a long weekend of it and start with the drivers Cricket Match on the Thursday.
21st-22nd Sept Castle Combe Autumn Classic - Chippenham Wiltshire SN14 7EY
Very popular two day race meeting with a huge classic car presence both on and off the track and the meeting has been extended to two days. BOHT will once again be organising parking for any Bristol-engined car to watch the racing. Sunday 6th October SE Region Lunch at the Chelsea Arts Club - 143 Old Church Street London SW3 6EB
The proceedings will start with cars displaying from 1pm with canapes and bubbles followed by a three course Sunday lunch with tea or coffee to follow. The price is £65.00 per head inclusive of wine, soft drinks and service. There will be a £2.50 surcharge if you choose the cheese board instead of pudding. We have booked for 40 people on a first come, first served basis and need to know numbers and have payment by Friday 20th September.
